We have taken the necessary images of the ColorChecker Passport Photo, created our process recipe for the output and familiarised ourselves with the Capture One naming conventions, it’s time to move to the next step.
In case you want to re-read the prerequisites have a look at the last article How to create ICC profiles for Capture One – Part 2 now.
I would recommend following these steps to adjust the image. Use the “Add Colour Readout” feature of Capture One to make your life easier.
|Software||RGB White Patch|
|basICColor input 5||245 – 250|
|Lumariver Profile Designer||around 220|
|DCamProf and Argyll||around 220|
As there is no recommendation from x-rite for the ColorChecker Passport software, I would suggest using the same values as for Lumariver Profile Designer.
The next steps are depending on the profile maker software. I will cover them in individual articles for each of the profile makers.
