This image is an example of what I would have binned without thinking twice.

However, I decided to play around with this image in my favourite raw converter and came up with this.

I basically changed the ICC profile, lifted the shadows and brightness, pushed the exposure by 3 1/3 f-stops and added a -2/3 f-stop vignette.
Finally, I converted the image to black and white, added some clarity to enhance the contrast and applied one of my cinematic styles (MikeRhys Cinema Style 06) on a separate layer with 70% opacity.


Not bad for an image that seemed to be unusable at first glance.
